The Moot Court Association (MCA) is the official student body for conducting and managing mooting activities at School of Excellence in Law, TNDALU, Chennai.
The committee has a President, a Vice President, a Secretary, three Additional Secretaries, five Joint Secretaries and members. At the University level, the Committee busies itself in conducting an Internal Challenger Procedure which forms the basis of selecting students to represent the University at both National and International Competitions.
The Committee also undertakes to educate the fresher batch every year regarding the nuances of mooting, conducting at the start of the year a detailed orientation programme and at the end of their first semester, a competitive Freshers’ Moot Court Competition.
Apart from maintaining a strong internal mooting structure, the Committee has been entrusted with the responsibility of hosting annually, the Pro Bono Enviro National Moot Court Competition and the K.R. Ramamani National Taxation Moot Court Competition. To this extent, the Committee is proud to find itself entrusted with the organisation of very prestigious and well-respected moot court competitions on environmental Law and Tax Laws.
