About Mo Industrial Park – The industrial gateway to the Arctic • The largest industrial cluster in Northern Norway, one of the largest in Norway • Located in Mo I Rana, Nordland, in the “Arctic Circle Municipality” Rana • 108 different companies within process- and mineral industry, marine sector, data centres, service sector, mechanical engineering, manufacturing and many more • 2500 jobs • A lot of locally owned businesses, but also international owners from China, Spain, Sweden with local employees • Annual turnover: 800 million EUR, where 550 million EUR are export oriented. This is 20% of all exports from the county of Nordland • The European Union is the largest market • Annual energy consumption: 1,5 % of all electricity in Norway (about 2 TWh), hydropower • We recover 400 GWh of energy each year, which is the equivalent to the annual energy consumption of the city of Tromsø with 24 000 households About Mo Industrial Park AS – The property and infrastructure company in the park • Manages, develops and carries out operation of properties, facilities, infrastructure and equipment in the industrial park • Distributes water, industrial gasses, power, fiber infrastructure, district heating and security services in the park • Facilitating for new establishments and marketing the industrial park as a competitive location is also at the core • Works to achieve the best possible framework conditions for land-based industry locally, regionally and nationally • We are heavily involved in a range of projects related to energy efficiency, emissions reductions and circular economy through a project program called MIP Sustainability • Has five business departments and five subsidiaries • Number of employees: 67 in MIP AS, 118 including the subsidiaries
