The Missourian Publishing Company is a family-owned and -operated newspaper and publishing company with production facilities in Washington, Missouri, and satellite offices in Union and St. Clair. The company publishes four newspapers - The Washington Missourian, Union Missourian, St. Clair Missourian and Warren County Record - and a senior citizens magazine, Senior LifeTimes. The Missourian is the biweekly paper for Franklin County, Mo. with offices in Washington, Union and St. Clair.
In 1860 The local newspaper in Washington, Missouri, known as the "Franklin County Gazette" was founded. It is upon the success and longevity of this newspaper that today's Missourian is founded. In 1937 James L. Miller, Sr. purchased the Washington Missourian. The company remains under ownership by the family.
