Michael McLain CPA, PA

Mike McLain specializes in taxes and business valuations. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Kansas and Missouri. He received his Master of Science degree in Taxation from DePaul University. Mike is also accredited in business valuations by the AICPA and is an Accredited Senior Appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers. He has prepared or contributed to hundreds of business appraisals for purposes related to estate and gift tax, buy-sell agreements, charitable contributions, S-corporation elections, litigation support, purchase price allocations and financial reporting. Assets valued include common stock, preferred stock, invested capital, partnership interests, debt instruments and intangible assets such as trademarks, customer lists, non-compete agreements and goodwill. Mike has broad industry experience including retail, financial institutions, construction, manufacturing, distribution, trucking and the service industries. He has testified as an expert witness in state court on issues involving business valuation and economic damages.
