Battery metals are helping to underpin technology, the energy transition and ultimately the pathway to decarbonisation. Metals One is defining battery metals resources at brownfield projects in Europe, for Europe.
We believe that there is an increased demand for battery minerals as a result of the growth in the electric vehicles and energy storage markets. We anticipate significant demand for metals such as nickel, lithium, cobalt and copper. It is estimated that these minerals will be needed at scales significantly beyond current production levels due to the growing adoption of electric vehicles globally and the need for electric vehicle batteries with higher energy densities.
