The beginnings of Metalna-SRM reach back into the year 1995 when the company took over the repair services of the former Metalna.
The newly established company combined the knowledge and experience of individuals with different professional background, and offered the owners of Metalna cranes fully-integrated repair services for their cranes. Shortly after the independence, new staff and fresh knowledge enabled us to begin modernising used cranes, to take up our own projects and to commence installing modern components.
In 2000, our production programme was updated with new custom-made cranes for heavy-duty operation, and various steel erections and machine parts based on our own or the customers’ technical drawings. Along with our new production activities we also gradually increased our production facilities and today own a business and production area of 5784 m2.
In the future we will continue investing in new machinery, technology and staff.

The production of overhead travelling and gantry cranes for shift work and heavy-duty operation:
- during the production, we take the customer’s wishes into consideration, and adapt to his own internal standards and demands;
- we use modern technology (3D models, E-drawings) to present our projects and arrange the necessary drawings;
- the customer can choose the manufacturer whose machine and electrical part (gearboxes, motors, brakes, variable-frequency drives etc.) will be installed;
- we adapt cranes for the operation with one or several lifter (hook, coil tongs, vacuum lifter, sheet lifter, grab), and with optional load stabilisation;
- we take care of the assembly, put the crane into operation and hand over the crane along with an operation permit.
