The Hotel was opened by Paddy Francis and his son John on the 12th of June 1998 and was built on land that the family lived on for many generations. With the great history surrounding the area, many of the conference suites are named after local characters. The Hotel has grown to an 81-bedroom property over the years with continuous investment into all bedrooms. 2023/2024 will see a full design of our bedrooms. The hotel is at the hub of the local community and our national and international guests mingle with our local clientele in our busy P. Francis & Son Bar and Bistro, and enjoy wonderful local fresh cuisine in our Oliver & McGlynn Restaurant.
