The Mediation Center of Los Angeles (MCLA) was formed in 2014 as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit charitable organization to educate the public about the benefits of using mediation to resolve conflicts, to provide greater access to justice to those who are unable to afford the high price of litigation and to reduce the burden on the courts by providing early resolution of cases. Since its formation, the Los Angeles Superior Court has selected MCLA as one of the first authorized vendor resources to provide high quality reduced fee mediations by experience attorney-mediators to all civil litigants in the County of Los Angeles. In addition to being awarded a contract for all traditional civil mediation programs, the LA Superior has also recently selected MCLA to provide a new online dispute resolution program that is designed to further reduce costs of litigation by avoiding the time consuming travel and waste of time in the mediation process. Online mediation provides an excellent solution for early convenient low cost and time-saving processes for resolving litigated cases. Lawyers who represent clients in all types of disputes will need to learn this 21st century technology to save them and their clients substantial expenses by resolving disputes online.
