The School of Communication Sciences and Disorders, formerly established as the School of Human Communication Disorders in 1963, was the first university department in Canada to offer both professional and research training at the graduate level in the field of communication sciences and disorders. Operating within McGill’s renowned Faculty of Medicine, the School offers professional training in Speech-Language Pathology through its M.Sc.A Applied degree, as well as state-of-the-art research training via its M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in order to advance our understanding of human communication and disorders, and to promote excellence in professional service and scholarship.
