The Maxwell Football Club is home to The Maxwell Award, which is the premier award on the ESPN Home Depot College Awards Show, which is nationally televised each December. The Maxwell Award is given to the best player in college football.

The Maxwell Football Club is the oldest and most prestigious Football Club in America, founded in 1935. In addition to The Maxwell Award, they also have another award that is featured on the Home Depot ESPN College Football Awards Show, The Bednarik Award. The MFC also has 11 additional awards that are recognized at the professional, collegiate, and high school levels, and they also provide outreach and scholarship programs for high school athletes.
In addition to the awards, The Maxwell Football Club focuses on leadership, education and community egagement at The High School Football level.
