Das Unternehmen Weishaupt im oberschwäbischen Schwendi steht für langlebige, sparsame und zuverlässige Energietechnik auf einem hohen technischen Niveau. Wärmepumpen, Solartechnik, Brennwertsysteme und Brenner sind das Produktangebot.
Der Firmengründer Max Weishaupt legte 1932 mit der Maschinenbauwerkstatt in Schwendi den Grundstein für sein Unternehmen. 1952 begann dort die Produktion des ersten Ölbrenners von Weishaupt. Über die Jahrzehnte hinweg wuchs das Unternehmen Weishaupt auf weltweit über 4300 Beschäftigte. Die Forschung und Entwicklung sowie die Brennerproduktion sind am Stammsitz Schwendi, wo rund 1000 Menschen arbeiten. Die Prüfstände im Forschungs- und Entwicklungszentrum decken einen Leistungsbereich von 10 Kilowatt bis 20000 Kilowatt ab. Neben der Brenner- und Schaltanlagen-Produktion in Schwendi und einem Produktionswerk in Sennwald (Schweiz) für Wärmepumpen und Brennwertsysteme verfügt Weishaupt über Vertriebs- und Servicestützpunkte in 60 Ländern rund um den Globus.
