The bp group’s history in South Africa reaches back to the early 1920s. bp Southern Africa is Masana’s strategic partner, and one of the largest oil companies in the country; enabling the provision of safer and more efficient distribution through shorter road deliveries to customers.
Kwanati Consortium
The Kwanati consortium consists of three black owned venture capital firms, namely Ata Capital, Kwande Capital and Identity Capital partners all with extensive experience as fund managers across a wide range of sectors such as mining, energy, infrastructure, telecommunications and financial services.
Masana Employee Share Trust
The Employee Share Trust owns 14.5% of Masana and all employees who join Masana on permanent contracts become beneficiaries of the trust and receive share units. This level of employee shareholding makes Masana a B-BBEE company in the true sense of the term, by affording employees an opportunity to participate in the growth of the company through the share scheme.
