Mario Balducci Architecture

We approach our work with an eye to creating simple buildings that respond to the local climate and have a strong focus on environmental sustainability. Our experience lies in delivering projects in locations that present multiple logistical constrains, due to scarcity of skills and materials, or sensitive ecological conditions. We are motivated by engaging with regional cultures and landscapes, through the use of traditional construction methods and exploring local natural materials. We work on projects of all shapes and sizes, from early stage feasibility and business development studies, full architectural designs, to project management for delivery on site. Our clients range from the private to not for profit sectors. We have completed projects primarily in the Horn of Africa. Our practice is based in Addis Ababa and London.
