Through analysis of the mining industry, experience in the ROLLER manufacturing business, and further by dealing with the challenges regularly faced in this sector - a need was identified to digitize and capture real-time asset performance data in the field, and make this data presentable and available on request. The solution was to develop a way to track asset inspection and maintenance activity over an asset's life cycle in the field. And in this light - collect, manage, interpret and compare this data in a visual, manageable structure - with the end goal being improved asset information management. Thus, the Maptsoft system was born. MAPTSOFT or Mining Asset Performance Tracking Software - was specifically developed for the Mining industry to facilitate the real-time data capture and reporting of critical mining assets in the field. The primary objectives of the system aimed at improving the capture, collection and management of asset data across a wide range of criteria, whilst also aiding in increasing transparency between mine management, shareholders and stakeholders alike.
