The Mandela Mining Precinct is established as a public private partnership between government, the mining companies, manufacturers of mining equipment, research organisations and academia to foster collaboration and innovation.   The expectations from many stakeholders involved with the South African Mining Industry is that mining the mining industry is will be a Healthy, Safe, Innovative, Transformative and Economically viable (HSITE). The Vision of the Mandela Mining Precinct The Mandela Mining Precinct aims to be the vehicle for ensuring that the mining industry is Healthy, Safe, Innovative, Transformative and Economically viable to enable and create technological solutions to advance the South African Mining Industry first , as a supplier to SADC and ultimately for the rest of the African continent.
