Mamula Island is a hotel in Montenegro surrounded by the sea, with you at its heart.
What you see today was originally a fort built in 1853 by the Austrian Admiral Lazar Mamula. Its purpose was to protect the entrance of the Bay of Kotor - a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Mamula is a protected cultural and historical monument and - working with local heritage authorities - every brick, wall, and feature has been carefully restored to its origin. All we’ve added is a fresh, meticulous, and sympathetic understanding of what outstanding hospitality should look like here.
