MaleSurvivor is an international nonprofit organization formed in 1995. Through MaleSurvivor.org committed to preventing, healing, and eliminating all forms of sexual victimization of boys and men through support, treatment, research, education, advocacy, and activism.
The MaleSurvivor website, discussion board, and chat room are often the first areas individuals visit as they begin to seek support and help dealing with the affects of sexual abuse. On average, the MaleSurvivor website has 45,000 visitors each month. Twenty-five percent of all who come to our website visit more than once.
The MaleSurvivor Weekends of Recovery Program, ever expanding and improving, depends on the kindness and commitment of its team of 26 facilitators and their nearly 8,000 hours of donated time in 2010. Thanks to the dedication of these tireless professionals, the cost to attend the Weekends of Recovery only covers the actual cost for room and board at various exceptionally beautiful sites, which are specifically selected for their healing environment. Attendees are not charged for the therapists' profession time.
MaleSurvivor's international conferences provide unique opportunities for personal and professional growth, as well the exchange of new knowledge about male sexual abuse. By bringing together survivors and the professionals who work with them, these conferences stand alone in their ability to directly impact the work and lives of attendees. In March 2010, over 400 individuals from around the world gathered to participate in our most successful conference to date.
