Established in 1963, Malacca Securities’ humble beginnings could be traced back to a small broking firm called Malacca Traders. In 1992, what began as a partnership grew and evolved into what is now known as Malacca Securities Sdn Bhd. Since then, we have survived several global financial crises, most notably the 1997 Asian financial crisis. In 2000, we came back stronger when the stock market became more well-structured and risk management frameworks were in place. In 2012, we ventured into digital stockbroking as part of the ongoing digitalisation process in Malaysia and started our online trading platform, M+ Online. By using AI, we were able to further empower investors in their decision-making process. Then the pandemic hit, forcing us to adapt quickly, and we launched our online account registration to ease the process for our customers. After that, thanks to the continuous support from our clients, we began winning awards such as the Bursa Excellence Awards and Retail Investor Campaign. As we have always been driven by our passion for growth, we strive to continuously deliver more value to our clients and the community. Our Corporate Finance business provides financial advisory services to institutional and corporate clients. For retail clients, we offer Discretionary Trading, which allows us to trade on behalf of our clients. We also launched the first Shariah discretionary trading in Malaysia for our Muslim clients. Then we expanded into financial planning with the setting up of MULA Advisory.
