Majeurs Academy is committed to training & nurturing a new generation of furniture manufacturing leaders in Africa who demonstrate excellence in advancing professional, reliable and quality delivery. The manufacturing industry in Africa is faced with diverse issues, including: • Unprofessional work attitude • Significantly low levels of competence, all leading to • Substandard quality of products. As an Innovative training institute, the academy offers young people (male & female) between 18-25 years a Professional Diploma (P.Dip); & an Advanced Professional Diploma (AP.Dip) in Furniture Manufacturing. The Professional Diploma runs for 3 years full-time, while the Advanced Diploma spans for 2 additional years. Majeurs Academy works with the best facilitators and industry experts to deliver programs that will equip students with the knowledge & technical know-how to enable them add value to all aspects of the furniture industry. The classes are structured to integrate theory with practice, and through the SIWES (Student’s Industrial Work Experience Scheme) training programme, students are prepared for the real-life industrial work situation. In line with global best practices, our "inTECHgrated" learning approach is designed to prepare students to be future-focused and technologically proficient. The Majeurs Academy School of Craft equally addresses contemporary issues such as mass production, customization, future technologies, environmental issues and at the same time, looks at cultural skills and techniques of design and manufacturing. Our goal is clear: to fill the capacity gap in Africa’s furniture manufacturing industry; creating Pan-African professionals with the ability to compete, deliver, and redefine industry standards to meet contemporary market demands.
