Maison Albert Bichot, founded in 1831 in Beaune, is a family independent wine artisan run by the 6th generation. Its vineyards include 6 prestigious estates totaling more than 100 hectares (250 acres):
- Domaine Long-Depaquit in Chablis (65 ha – 160 acres)
- Domaine du Clos Frantin in Nuits-Saint-Georges (7,5 ha – 18,5 acres)
- Château-Gris in Nuits-Saint-Georges (3,5 ha – 8,5 acres)
- Domaine du Pavillon in Pommard (15 ha – 37 acres)
- Domaine Adélie in Mercurey (7,8 ha – 11 acres)
- Domaine de Rochegrès in Moulin-à-Vent (5,2 ha – 13 acres)
We practise sustainable and organic viticulture in our vineyards. And starting with the 2018 vintage, all the wines from our Côte d’Or and Mercurey estates will bear the certified “organic wine” label.
We have a winery and a cellar in each of Burgundy’s major viticultural regions, where a dedicated team vinifies and ages our precious wines. Aware of the richness of the legacy that has been passed on to us, we want them to be imbued with the terroir and the characteristics of the village they hail from.
The same care is taken with the grapes grown in our plots as with those purchased from our partner growers. All of the wines that bear the Albert Bichot signature benefit from the same know-how and meticulousness.
Within the last 10 years, we were awarded twice the Best International Red winemaker (2004 & 2017) and White Winemaker (2011) trophy by the International Wine Challenge.
