The Main Street Genome represents an ambitious project led by entrepreneurs Scott Case (founding Chief Technology Officer of Priceline.com and CEO of Startup America) and Eric Koester (founder of Zaarly.com and professor of entrepreneurship at Georgetown University). This first-of-its-kind simulation of the ‘main street’ economy was designed with the singular goal: if we could understand how owners and their businesses actually functioned, could we reduce their failure rates and drive better results for the millions of business owners that fuel our economy?
Leveraging these insights, models and simulations from hundreds of hours with owners, the team behind the Main Street Genome is now creating innovative tools, technologies and solutions for today’s business owners – focused in areas including restaurants and hospitality, medical and dental offices, residential and commercial construction, and wholesalers and distributors. Our initial product Vendor IQ is helping to deliver smarter purchasing to the Main Street economy. The project is supported by leading thinkers, researchers, investors and entrepreneurs all interested in improving results on ‘Main Street.’
