Madras Gauge Room Eqpt Private Limited GRE Products are born out of commitment to produce highest Quality of Cast Iron and Granite Surface Plates, Cast Iron T Slotted Floor Plates, Angle and Box Plates, Right Angle Irons, Straight Edges, Granite Parallel Blocks, Large Granite Squares and other inspection metrology equipment. Started in 1973 the team was headed by Mr.K.S. Shriram and the team transformed to lead the whole of India in its range of Inspection Metrology Products. They rented a small work place in 1973 and moved on to their own Plant in Chennai (Madras) in the Eastern part of India. Took Leadership in producing the largest range of Cast Iron and Granite Surface plates with active assistance of one and all customers. The company was in league with most of the leading Tool houses of USA, GERMANY, UK, and SINGAPORE. Their products were exported to very many Countries particularly to USA where they got good repetitive orders for range of Surface Plates, Bending Plates and Angle plates. The company has dedicated team of Engineers and Workmen who have done marvel to Indian Engineering industry. Have supplied their products to strategic Defense Establishments, particularly to NAVAL & AERO SPACE related Projects and not to mention the whole of Automotive Companies, Machine Tool Companies in India. • 1973 A small Start and with a gentle push. • 1978 First and Major Supplies made to HAL, Bangalore. • 1979 First major Supplies to ISRO, Trivandrum. • 1979 Single Piece Cast Iron Surface plate of 4 x 3 mtr to ISRO , Trivandrum. • 1979 Designed a Floor C.I. Floor Plates 9 x 4.5 mtrs to take 100 tons load for KCP LTD., Chennai. • 1979 Commencement of Exports of Angle Plates and Surface plates to USA. • 1984 Bed plate 10 Mtr x 10 Mtr to TATA ROBINS FRASER LTD. • 1984 Supplied 8000 x 2000 mm Plate to NAVAL SCIENCE LAB. VIZAG. • 1985 Took on Largest order for total to 94 Large and medium sized plates to NAVAL DOCK YARD,VIZAG. • 1990 Commencement of CMM Project and supplies of CMM bases to CMM producers in ITALY. • 1990 First CMM produced out of Collaboration arrangements with DEA of ITALY. • 1992 Produced India’s first CNC Layout measuring machine (LMM) with digitizing for Reverse Engineering and Integration with Computer Aided Manufacturing. ( CAM) • 1998 Produced Largest Floor Plate Assembly for STEEL PRODUCTS OF INDIA LTD 10 mtrs x 10 mtrs to take on 100 tons load. • 2002 Export of Floor Plates to USA 100 nos. • 2008 Large Surface plate Design and Manufacture for BHEL, HARDWAR, size 6000 x 6000 mm to take 100 tons load.
