In 1985, James M. Maddox formed Maddox Industrial Contractors. Sensing a need for a contractor that could respond to both the public utility and private industrial markets, he set out to offer value in a highly competitive market. As utility infrastructure aged and new technologies entered the market, Maddox grew. The changing industrial situation, where manufacturers are cutting back on trade staff, maintenance, and in-house engineering, allowed Maddox to expand into the industrial marketplace. This balance offers our clients a trusted partner large enough to handle tough projects while offering flexible, responsive, and customer-focused service.
With 25 years under our belt, we are a strong, capable company. Employing only those who have leadership and management potential has enabled Maddox to develop our Millwrights, Pipefitters, Welders, Fabricators, and Carpenters into highly effective leaders. Whether taking on what might seem like a small project, or engaging us for a long term capital project, our clients know they get professional, predictable results. By extensively pre-planning jobs and working out the kinks before stepping on the site, hassles, complications, and on the spot changes are kept to a minimal if at all.
Accepting typical contractor performance no longer needs to be the norm. Maddox can show you that controlling the project’s outcome while giving you the feeling that we are always steps ahead of the next task becomes the only experience you will ever want to have.
Demands change, jobs tweak, but our priority for safety never wavers. Safety is an across the board buzz word at Maddox. We have processes in place that keep safety top of mind on each job, and each employee knows and expects their co-workers to look out for each other and keep everyone safe. Safety orientations at client locations, along with regular training, keep our guys at the top of their game.
