Motelx Lisbon International Horror Film Festival

MOTELx – Lisbon International Horror Film Festival aims to stimulate the production of genre films in Portugal, to screen the best of horror features and short films produced all over the world, and to contribute to educating younger audiences and to help contextualize recent production trends by programming selected retrospectives. The festival hosts the MOTELx Award – Best Portuguese Horror Short Film, whose recipient will win a money prize and the Méliès d'Argent. Past MOTELx special guests include Coffin Joe, George Romero, Stuart Gordon, John Landis, Mick Garris, Eli Roth, and Dario Argento. MOTELx is an adherent member of the European Fantastic Film Festivals Federation (EFFFF). Submissions are open all year round. Deadline for each edition is 15 June.
