Come explore the Twin Cities’ biggest stadiums from the inside out! Maybe you’re a sports fan or maybe you’re just curious about how these giant buildings operate. Wherever your motivation STEMs from, it’s sure to be satisfied and more with this super summer field trip series, which will include educational opportunities attached to many of the stadium and arena tours. Come tour: US Bank Stadium, Allianz Field, Xcel Energy Center and Target Field (see descriptions below) with the MCGT Homeschool Chapter this summer. Let’s find out how they work together! Come to one or all of these education tours - Homeschool chapter members and non-members welcome (see due dates and registration links below).  And don’t forget a picnic lunch to have after or before the tours! See details below. What a great way to stay connected or make some new connections this summer with your MCGT Homeschool Friends! We are asking you to please plan ahead and register early - these types of behind the scenes educational tours require a minimum of 25 people with tour confirmations usually 3 weeks in advance. If we can’t meet the minimum number of people, the field trip will be canceled and you will be refunded. YOU MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED IN ORDER TO ATTEND. Cost for bundle: Homeschool chapter members $16 per person (registration code required), non-members $27 per person. Must register by May 21, 2019 to receive the bundle rates. Register for all four field trips at once. U.S. Bank Stadium - Sustainability Tour: This two-hour tour will include engaging facts based on STEM and Language Arts curriculum. The tour program features classroom activities and physical visits to specific stadium destinations. The stadium is currently involved in minimizing its energy, water, and waste rates. For the Sustainability Education Tour, they will talk about these initiatives, and how they contribute to lessening the carbon footprint of U.S. Bank Stadium as a whole. Date: May 22, 2019 Time: 12:00pm - 2:00pm (let's meet on the Plaza outside USBank stadium to eat lunch before the tour) Cost: Homeschool Chapter members $5 per person (registration code required), non-members $8 per person Where: 401 Chicago Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55415 Registration: Due by May 21th! Register US Bank Stadium Allianz Field: During your guided behind the scenes 90-minute tour of Allianz Field, you'll see areas of the stadium many guests normally don't see. These spaces may include all club levels, concourse, Brew Hall, Roof Deck, Home & Away Locker Rooms, Training Room, Press Room and Production Room. Each tour guest will receive one coupon to receive 10% off a purchase at the Black And Blue Team Store. There is even a nice green space outside to eat a bag lunch with your friends after on the north side of the building. These tour guides love all kinds of questions.  Date: June 21, 2019 Time: 10:30 - Noon (bring a bag lunch to eat outside on the grass) Cost: Homeschool chapter members $8 (registration code required), non-members $10 per person  Where: 400 Snelling Avenue North, St. Paul, MN 55104 Register: by May 31st!  Register Allianz Field Xcel Energy Center: This tour will showcase the many unique features of Xcel Energy Center including State of Hockey exhibits and musical tributes, the Al Shaver Press Box, premium seating areas, the event level and more. Tours run approximately one hour as guests are guided through each of the six levels of the facility. Date: July 24, 2019 Time: 1:00 - 2:00 Added Fun Option: Let’s meet at a park (TBD) and have lunch together before we all go to Xcel for our tour. Cost: Homeschool Chapter Members free (registration code required), non-members $3 per person  Where: 199 West Kellogg Blvd, St. Paul, MN 55102 Registration: Due by July 10th! Register Xcel Energy Center Target Field - Learning Through Baseball and Stadium Tour: It all adds up! Target Field is a great place to learn about Mathematics. From scoring and batting averages to geometry around the diamond, baseball and mathematics go hand in hand. In Mathematics at Target Field, students learn and apply mathematical concepts through fun and engaging lessons and activities along with a tour of the ballpark.  Date: August 8, 2019 Time: 10:00am - Noon (bring a bag lunch for after our tour) Cost: Homeschool Chapter Members $5 (registration code required), Non-members $8 per person Where: 1 Twins Way, Minneapolis, MN 55403 Registration: Due by July 18th!
