The MICHR aims to promote study, research and education in the field of Human Rights, through an interdisciplinary approach and a scientific follow-up (in keeping also with comparatistic investigations). It will be implemented through a consistent and critical comparison, with the mobility (even on a short-term basis) of scholars interested in cooperating with the Centre, coming from more than 120 Universities.
Specifically, the objectives will be pursued through a combined research activity and a constant exchange of ideas, effectuated through lectures, meetings, study days and roundtables. The activities will be promoted in the different University fora, wherein the MICHR scholars are allocated.
Furthermore, the Centre will promote publishing, collation of data and monographs. It will facilitate awareness programmes and Rights education incorporating diverse cultural and situational backgrounds, both nationally and internationally. It will ensure its commitment to initialise facilities, fellowships and scholarships in order to reward or encourage a progressive and original development in the knowledge and research on human rights.
