MICA Architects is an RIBA Chartered practice formed by Gavin Miller and Stuart Cade, the partners of Rick Mather Architects. Building upon the reputation for design quality established by the partners over 20 years, MICA is young practice with a rich heritage. The team works across multiple sectors at a range of scales while maintaining the same attention to detail throughout. An analytical approach is applied to all projects, from strategic masterplans and landscape planning to individual buildings, interiors and even furniture. By engaging with stakeholders and the local community, MICA is able to solve complex problems and present solutions that appear simple in their elegance.
The practice’s specific approach has been developed over the last four years, with many significant projects including the large-scale cultural mixed-use masterplan at Croydon; strategic London-wide masterplanning for TfL; complex heritage sites at Kings College London, Lincoln’s Inn, and Jesus College, Oxford; two landscape and public realm schemes in Lancaster; and a new square at Centre Point.
MICA benefits from the same long standing and highly dedicated team of fifty, previously of Rick Mather Architects, and thus draws on the same archives, history, professional knowledge and expertise.
