MEC is a private independent family owned firm of Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers, led by Shawqi Sultan, an Omani national who has been practicing in Oman since 1967. MEC is the oldest and most prestigious QS practice in Oman. Established in 1981 and operating under a different name prior, we have over 50 years of experience across a broad spectrum of construction commissions for both government and private clients locally and internationally. We provide a fully integrated range of Cost and Project Management services, and other specialist services such as Claims Management, Fund Monitoring and Facilities Management, with a large contingent of experienced staff. MEC are regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). MEC staff have extensive experience in both the consulting and contracting sides of the industry; we also utilize, on a contractual basis, specialized skills of its commercial staff, particularly those related to scheduling and litigation support services.
