MAPNA Locomotive Engineering and Manufacturing Company MAPNA Group is a large- scale Iranian enterprises with its 41 affiliated Companies, which are active in three main divisions as an EPC turnkey contractor and a private investor (IPP). The preliminary objective of MAPNA was developing and implementing Thermal Power Plants. The extended objectives of MAPNA Group were Utility and Industrial Projects, Oil& Gas Projects as well as Railway Transportation Projects. Since its establishment in 1992, MAPNA Group has performed the implementation of 100 projects in a value of more than 30 billion Euros. Moreover, it provides its customers 60 different products and 85 types of services. The Rail Transportation Division of MAPNA, was founded in order to develop the railway industry in Iran and also exporting the equipment & engineering services to other countries around the world. Now, MAPNA is a leading manufacturer of different type of passenger& freight diesel electric locomotives, shunting locomotives and tunnel locomotives and also implementation of different urban railway transportation projects. MAPNA Locomotive Engineering and Manufacturing Company is the main company in MAPNA Rail Division. This company was established in 2007 and the first contract was a large scale project for production of 150 passenger diesel electric locomotive under license of SIEMENS Company which they (IRAN SAFIR) were delivered to customer (RAI) based on time seclude of the Contract.
