M.A.C. (formerly Team Census) is the experiential marketing club of IIM Calcutta and is run by the students of the institute. It was formed with the aim of providing practical experience in the field of Marketing to budding MBA Graduates. It organizes events and also gets many live projects from many reputed firms. It's two main events - Mandi and Ulhaas are among the most loved events across B-Schools.
M.A.C. is looking for partnerships with firms in terms of live projects and sponsorships and participation from students in its events and live projects.
Mandi - Mandi is organized around a week before Durga Puja week. It enjoys a footfall of 1000+ which is also the highest on campus. In this event, participating teams have to sell there items (Food, decorative items, etc) using attractive marketing.
Ulhaas - It enjoys a footfall of 10000+ and is conducted outside the campus of IIM Calcutta in a premiere mall of Kolkata city every year around February. The teams engage the visitors of malls in attractive games and competitions and through this they do disguised market research for firms. In the past, Team Census had the opportunity of doing market research for firms like ITC, Pepsi, etc.
