The team behind Lucky Shrimp aim to become the European innovation leader in sustainable shrimp farming through modular breeding facilities by
1) continuously developing the Biofloc approach in its aquacultures
2) optimizing nutrition quality and efficiency
3) creating very first shrimp larvae breeding facility in Europe
The founders Alexander Dubsky (Environmental Engineer with a focus on organic farming) and Andreas Zaugg (Environmental Engineer with a focus on renewable energy and renewable resources) are closely supported by an advisory board.
The international advisory board consists of leading researchers in Switzerland and abroad, legal, marketing, communications and food&beverage professionals.
The approach is highly scalable through the construction of modular breeding facilities in existing buildings and facilities, close to where the final products are needed, pricing is competitive. Profit is generated through the sales of shrimp for the F&B industry, the construction of modular aquacultures for third-parties as well as the sales of larvae.
