Losev carried out numerous studies of the luminous carborundum detector, which formed the basis of the newest direction in electronics of that time - semiconductor optoelectronics. The most important characteristics for today's LEDs were discovered *0 years ago, but the practical use of the "Losev glow" effect could not begin for decades. And today, when our research and production enterprise is engaged in scientific development and production of lighting engineering and optics, we want to pay tribute to the Soviet physicist and proudly bear the name in honor of his discovery under the name "Losev's glow".
