Locata Housing Services runs as a not-for-profit company owned by local authorities and housing associations. We provide a complete range of web-based housing option services for councils and their partners. Built out of a Government sponsored project, the West London choice-based lettings system went live in 2001. Since then, we have developed a wide range of complementary modules, products and services that are now used by around 135 local authorities and hundreds of housing associations.
We have worked with our customers to develop a range of web-based products that help them deliver a robust housing options service and allow them to let their properties using Choice Based Lettings, Mutual Exchange, LCHO, Direct Lettings, Property Pools, Social Lettings Agency and Private Sector homes.
Our homelessness system, with its in-case validator, complies fully with the Homelessness Reduction Act and H-CLIC, while enabling local authorities to tailor their systems to deliver initiatives locally. And our Housing Related Support system provides a single integrated solution allowing for the stepped management of applications from taking support referrals, assessing support needs, assigning customers to services and managing the support through to move on.
We believe that technology alone is never the answer. We also bring an in-depth knowledge and many years of experience of working within the social housing sector, excellent project management skills (PRINCE2 accredited) and cutting-edge technical expertise.
We now have 11 different Locata cloud-based systems on the Government’s Digital Marketplace - the G-Cloud 12 framework. This means that we are an official Crown Commercial Service supplier and our products and services can be bought by local authorities without needing to go through a full tender process - saving time and money.
