LocalHero is a community and platform that connects local businesses and neighbours with each other so that surplus food and other items that are usable and would otherwise be thrown away, can be saved from landfills and shared and reused. This could be food that is nearing its expiry date, has blemishes but is still edible, spare groceries from your fridge, bread from your baker or any household items that you do not need.
