The Ljubljana Stock Exchange represents the investment point of Slovenia. The first stock exchange in Ljubljana existed as early as in the period between 1924 and 1942. The present Ljubljana Stock Exchange strives to maintain and further develop the tradition and reputation of the old Exchange. Founded in 1989 the Ljubljana Stock Exchange operates the only securities exchange in Slovenia. It ensures smooth and efficient execution of stock exchange transactions and facilitates interaction among all market participants. The core business of the exchange is to ensure proper conditions for the matching of supply and demand in the trading in securities and other financial instruments listed on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange equity market, bond market and structured products market.
