The Lithuanian Lottery Association is an independent voluntary association in the Republic of Lithuania which unites the country’s largest lottery operators, lottery service providers and lottery-related product design and production companies.
The objective of the association is to promote equal and favorable operating conditions for all its members.
The Lithuanian Lottery Association’s main areas of activity include:
• Monitoring legal and regulatory developments related to running lotteries
• Representing members’ interests in legislative processes in the country
• Collaborating with state institutions that supervise lottery activities in Lithuania
• Ensuring proper use of the term “lottery” in the territory of Lithuania
• Promoting a positive public image of the lottery business
• Transparently communicating about lottery-related news in the media
• Working together with other associations and public organizations
The Lithuanian Lottery Association actively advocates for responsible gaming. It supports and encourages the efforts of lottery operators to implement responsible gaming standards in the country. The association believes that the standards of responsible gaming which are being introduced in the most advanced and mature lottery markets should also be fully respected in the Lithuanian market. Members of the Lithuanian Lottery Association, in operating lotteries, abide by the Responsible Gaming Standards where are promoted by the European Lotteries.
Lotteries are the main source of financing for the Olympic Movement and the Paralympic Movement in Lithuania. Support provided by lottery operators is also important for other sport and cultural organizations. In 25 years, the members of the Lithuanian Lottery Association have already provided more than 70 million euros of support for sport and social organizations.
Since 2017, the Lithuanian Lottery Association has been an active member of the Lithuanian Business Confederation (ICC Lithuania).
