Lions Cricket Union

Lions Cricket is a cricket union based at the Imperial Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa. We are the custodians of all cricket activities in the greater Sedibeng, West Rand, Vaal and Johannesburg area and manage the Imperial Wanderers Stadium. Cricket activities fall under a four tiered structure, namely Professional, Senior, Youth and Associations. The Imperial Lions is the Professional team we own. They play televised matches and are the direct pipeline to the national team. We then have our senior men and women's provincial teams, our youth teams comprising of schools and KFC Mini-Cricket (ages 4-13), and Associations. A total of 53 Clubs participate in 18 Leagues that are administered by us. Additional associations affiliated with us include; Gauteng Deaf Cricket, Gauteng Blind Cricket and Differently-abled Cricket. Our vision is to create unrivalled passion for cricket in central Gauteng. Our mission is to advance and transform cricket in central Gauteng by ensuring winning teams, nurturing club and schools cricket and offering a world-class experience at the Imperial Wanderers Stadium.
