Linking Melbourne Authority was established on 1 July 2010 under Section 134 of the Transport Integration Act 2010 (the Act) and is the successor in law to the Southern and Eastern Integrated Transport Authority (SEITA).
On 7 January 2015, the Victorian Government announced that Linking Melbourne Authority is being disbanded. The Authority will conclude operations on 30 June 2015, and there will be a progressive wind up of the Authority's operations over this period.
