Let’s Adopt Indonesia (LAI) is an NGO (under Yayasan Adopsi Hewan Indonesia) founded in 2011 focusing on animal welfare awareness by rescuing and rehoming cats and dogs, educating people through school visits and social media campaigns, organizing regular subsidized spay and neuter events in South Jakarta and Bekasi.
For the past two years, LAI has been focusing most of its activities in cats and dogs spay and neuter programs to reduce unwanted births. LAI has its own project called #ProjectSterilBareng, which has spayed and neutered a total of 1913 stray cats and 142 stray dogs. Alongside other communities, LAI has successfully spayed and neutered 374 JaBoDeTaBek stray cats in its cat TNR (Trap, Neuter, and Release) projects.
