Lesdep Skill Center

Lesdep Skill Center LESDEP, a skill development initiative of KS Unite, emanates from public-private partnership under the auspices of the relevant ministry of Vocational training, skill development, youth empowerment, human resource and rural development that seek to facilitate the acquisition of technical and entrepreneurial skills among the youth within the country. The program targets the youth with and without formal education, depending upon the demand for the various training programs. In this sense, the youth who have not been to school at all and those with basic and secondary education have the opportunity to select from a menu of trades. Initiated in Ghana in 2010, gradually, this youth empowerment project has percolated to other countries of Africa and made its mark.This endeavor, now in phase 4 has generated more than 200,000 jobs in the continent.
