LeadingAge New York represents not-for-profit, mission-driven and public continuing care providers, including nursing homes, senior housing, adult care facilities, continuing care retirement communities, assisted living and community service providers. Leading Age New York's more than 600 members employ 150,000 professionals serving more than 500,000 New Yorkers annually. LeadingAge NY's Foundation for Long Term Care is a private, not-for-profit research and education organization founded in 1978. In keeping with its mission to improve by research and education the way care for an aging society is delivered, it has a reputation for outstanding research and demonstration projects and for innovative seminars aimed at keeping health care professionals informed of constant changes in the field.
