Leadership Greater Mchenry County (Lgmc)

Launched in 2004, Leadership Greater McHenry County (LGMC) addresses one critical need of every effective community: to foster and develop community leaders who are concerned for all public processes. Through focused programs, LGMC creates a leadership resource for the entire county. LGMC participants become equipped to move into a variety of leadership positions on boards or commissions, as well as to advance within their sponsoring organizations. Today, LGMC is over 475 alumni strong in the core program. The passion and commitment to positively impact the future of McHenry County is seen in the many civic, charitable, government, education and business organizations LGMC proudly serves. In addition to the adult program, LGMC offers a youth program for high school students and a college internship. LGMC creates the foundation for a lifelong commitment to civic engagement by connecting, educating, and inspiring leaders in McHenry County.
