Since 1989, LADPP has been providing services to Spanish and Portuguese speaking migrants and refugees living in London, with a particular (but not exclusive) focus on those with disabilities.
We are a Latin American, user-led organisation proud to serve communities from Latin America, Europe and Africa.
Our service users typically face a number of barriers, including; language, disability, lack of information, low-waged and precarious employment and discrimination.
Our lead service is Advice and Representation: we provide free, confidential, impartial advice, working with people to actively solve their issues relating to housing, welfare, debts, healthcare, employment and taxes. We act as a bridge between social and public services and our community.
We also have the Health and Wellbeing Service, providing psychological support, workshops promoting healthy living and a Befriending service.
We support community capacity development through English language classes, volunteering opportunities, training and access to certified education programmes. We also have an interpreting service and cultural and social activities to reduce isolation.
Our aims are to promote confidence, independence, wellbeing, community integration and reduce poverty.
