Lapwing Music Festival

The Lapwing Festival is a unique event which celebrated its first year in 2016. Held in support of the Cuckmere Haven SOS campaign to save the iconic Coastguard Cottages from coastal erosion, this festival features incredibly intimate solo recitals by outstanding musicians. In 2016 performers included world-renowned oud player Joseph Tawadros, Professor of Viola da Gamba at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama Liam Byrne, member of the London Haydn Quartet John Crockatt on violin and the festival director, a Juilliard graduate, Anthony Albrecht on cello. Performed in the magical setting of No.5 Coastguard Cottages, Cuckmere Haven, only 35 tickets are available for each recital. The 2017 program will be announced in the coming months.
