Lanka Government Information Infrastructure (LGII) is the entity responsible for operation and development of the Lanka Government Network (LGN), the networking infrastructure which interconnects various government institutions to each other, and serves as the highway used for delivery of government e-services to citizen. LGII is a fully owned subsidiary of the ICT Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA).
LGII facilities include the LGN Hub which serves as the interconnection point of the various end sites and hosts a large number of servers, a state of the art Network Operations Center (NOC) for network monitoring and management, and a Helpdesk which incorporates a technical call center operational round the clock, and able to communicate in all three languages, Sinhala, Tamil and English. These facilities are complemented by third party agencies that provide on-site support for all LGN connected sites.
Services offered by LGII to the government institutes include LGN connectivity and related services, Internet access, voice over IP (VoIP) services, all domain name registrations under the gov.lk domain etc.
