Official charity of AFL Players. Official partner of the AFL.
AFL players believe that every young person deserves an opportunity to succeed.
Through the players community initiative, Ladder, young people are mentored and provided with the support they need to achieve their goals.
We exist to make young people’s lives better.
Ladder is an independent non-profit organisation that was established by AFL players in 2007 who recognised the power of sport, and the AFL industry, as being a powerful vehicle for social change. Over a decade on and players continue to be at the heart of the organisation, supporting as staff, board members, advocates, volunteers and mentors.
Ladder deliver tailored development and mentoring programs to young people across Australia. Our programs support young people aged 16 to 25 to improve in key domains including self-efficacy, community connection, health and wellbeing, independent living skills and education, employment and training.
