Laboratory Of Health Economics And Management (Labhem)

The Laboratory of Health Economics and Management (LabHEM), was founded in June 2015 in the Economics Dept. of the University of Piraeus. The Laboratory of Health Economics and Management specializes in the areas of Health Economics, Health Services Research and Health Care Management. The principal scientific team consists of academics from the fields of Health Economics, Economics, Management, Strategy, Health Informatics, Pharmacy and Medicine. Mission Statement: a) To contribute to the field of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) performing economic and pharmacoeconomic analysis in Greece and abroad, b) To foster improvement in the quality, productivity and efficiency of health systems, services, and (public & private) institutions in Greece, c) To develop and provide training, seminars and symposiums on health care economics and management, d) To assist in the harmonization of Greek health policy and practice with the international experience, e) To collect and provide data on the Greek health care system, f) To participate in international research and policy development networks
