We are one of the leading independent waste management, skip hire and waste recycling companies in the UK. From our 12-acre site in Leeds, West Yorkshire, we process over quarter of a million tonnes of consumer and commercial waste per annum, and currently recycle over 95 per cent of all waste recovered. This enables us to give (and stick to) exact delivery times; monitor the carbon footprint of each vehicle; and allow our drivers to have a 360 degree view of the outside of their vehicle. Our history LSS Waste Management was founded by Nigel Woolford in 1984. Starting with just 10 skips, which he painted bright yellow so that they were easily identifiable as LSS skips. LSS quickly gained a reputation for excellent reliability and customer service and moved from its original site to Rothwell, Leeds in 1987, where it spent 18-years before we relocated to our current Cross Green site. During the past 12-years, and despite the recession, we have overcome adversity and grown from strength to strength. This has been achieved by building on our long standing reputation with customers; developing within new markets; adding to the size of our site through additional land purchases; and adopting new recycling methods.
