The Local Organising Committee for the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 (LOC) was the entity in charge of hosting the Tournament. It was the first FIFA World Cup that was be organized in India and also the first time an Indian National Team played in a football World Cup. The LOC was also in charge of Mission Eleven Million, the transformational school outreach programme that had as an objective to reach 11 million school kids and was the true Legacy from the World Cup. It was the first time that such an ambitious project was undertaken and spread the message of football to parents, administrators, teachers and students to every state in the country. The FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 was in the forefront of making a football revolution in the country and the LOC was the entity responsible to deliver this.
The Result:
- Most attended FIFA Youth World Cup (including U-20) till date with over 1.3 million spectators.
- Filled all six spots for National Supporter (Indian Sponsors) with over $6 million in revenue.
- 71,601,000 viewers watched at least one minute of the tournament coverage in India.
- 39,000 plus media (print and online) mentions across seven Indian cities.
Apart from World Cup responsibilities; conceptualisation, planning and overseeing execution of Mission Eleven Million (Grassroots Legacy Programme of the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017) was part of the KRA.

- Over 21 thousand schools registered
- Over 23 thousand teachers registered
- Over 47 thousand footballs distributed
