Inspired by the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) our professional focus and project-based learning prepares students for a future in the performing and creative arts. We help them develop their own independent way of learning, so they become more resilient and at the same time are learning how to work as an industry professional.
With us, students learn in a positive, supportive and inclusive environment alongside like-minded students and guided by industry-experienced teachers. They work towards a University of the Arts London (UAL) Extended Diploma and leave us ready to take the next step, whether that be higher education or work.
We offer courses in Technical Theatre, Design for Performance, Acting, Dance, Music Performance and Production and Musical Theatre. Our average pass rate since opening in 2016 is 99%.
In 2019, just two-and-a-half years after we opened, we achieved the best possible Ofsted, when we were rated ‘outstanding’ in all areas. Inspectors praised our supportive, inclusive environment; the high industry expectations modelled by our staff and the diligent and collaborative work of our students.
Our teaching staff are all industry experienced. They understand, and have links to, the sector our students aspire to work in. They can help them reach the standards expected and introduce them to the behaviour and discipline required.
Not only do we have our own extensive connections within the performing and creative arts industry, but our close links to LIPA allow us to benefit from its well-established international connections. Industry experts, some of them household names, take part in conversations with our students, undertake practical workshops and offer performance opportunities.
Our £5.4 million redeveloped building is a purpose-built performing and creative arts college offering students specialist professional standard facilities and equipment.
